Workshop Description:
Quilling (paper filigree) dates back to the 13th or 14th century. In 18th century England, young ladies learned, as a past time, rolling thin strips of paper into shapes to produce designs, such as flowers, for cards, trinkets boxes, and other displays. This beginner’s class will introduce some basic shapes to create a flower design on a card.
Materials Provided by the Instructor: Quilling kits (which include tools, stripes of paper and instructions), scissors, glue, corkboard, graph. The kits cost $8.00 payable to the instructor.
